Attorney General Eric Holder blasted "stand-your-ground laws" in the wake of the acquittal of George Zimmerman for fatally shooting Trayvon Martinsaying such laws cause more violence than they prevent. Mr. Holder, speaking to the NAACP Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., not far from where Mr. Zimmerman was acquitted last week, took direct aim at stand-your-ground laws, which say a person can use force in self-defense without first attempting to retreat from the situation. "Separate and apart from the case that has drawn the nation´s attention, it´s time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense and sow

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Pure deceit. And the low information voters and professional victim class lapped it up.....
I refer you to my previous post about being disarmed leading to Auschwitz.
The Administration has NEVER liked Stand Your Ground.
It was written to limit the kind of unwarranted prosecutions like we have just witnessed.
“Mr. Martin, a black teenager, was walking to his father’s house in Sanford, Fla., from a nearby convenience store in the early evening when he was spotted by Mr. Zimmerman, a neighborhood-watch volunteer who thought Mr. Martin was suspicious. Mr. Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, called 911 and began following Mr. Martin, leading to a confrontation in which the 29-year-old Mr. Zimmerman shot the teenager.”
A deceitful oversimplified description. He broke off following the kid and was attacked later.
Owww. Where of where is uncle al’s hand?
“It’s not the facts of the case, it’s the seriousness of the charge...”
It was ALWAYS about getting Gun Control legislated from the bench. SYG and the Castle Doctrine are under the gun...
Up yours, Holder. It’s none of your business.
And he knows damn good an well that stand your ground played no role at all in the Zimmerman case.
Watch out, Eric! Rev. Al is going for your wallet!
“Never let a crisis go to waste.” Little Trayvon was a useless loser in life - a druggie, a thief, and a bully (I can see why Obama thinks Little Trayvon is his spiritual son). The left is hoping to at least get political mileage out of Little Trayvon’s justifiable death, repealing a law they never liked even though that law was irrelevant to Little Trayvon’s attack against George Zimmerman.
:: it´s time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense ::
Does he even listen to his rhetoric?
I guess it is my hope that one day one of these race-hustlers will be in a situation where they might welcome that “stand your ground” law. Or that they may be the recipient of a whoop ass.
Maybe this sounds harsh, but I’m sick of the whole bunch of them.
Thought this was one of yours...
Mr. Zimmerman called the non emergency number to report a suspicious person. When set upon by said suspicious person and pinned to the ground, retreat was impossible so he stood his ground. Not that he had a duty to retreat. So much went wrong for the whole mess regardless of the results. No gun, Mr. Zimmerman would likely be dead or brain damaged. The perp would probably have walked.
