Twitter was in meltdown when the verdict came Saturday night in the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin trial. Facebookers like this one were among many writing their fair share of posts on the trial and its outcome.
One online site in particular captured considerable attention – well over 100,000 visits a day and a public post-trial thank-you from Robert Zimmerman, father of the younger Zimmerman: “I have thanked Mark Omara and Don West. Now I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to you, our friends at CTH.”
The Conservative Treehouse (aka “CTH” and “The Last Refuge”) earned Zimmerman’s grateful acknowledgement because of its extraordinary investigative work undertaken throughout the saga, particularly in obtaining through Freedom of Information Act and publishing public records that revealed the corruption and racism connected to the charges and the trial itself, naming who was involved regardless of how high up the political food chain it went, in what the investigative bloggers called “The Zimmerman Railroading.”

I have no idea why, when the defense won approval to introduce the toxicology report, they did not go after this. Unless they only were allowed the THC traces. Or maybe "consistent with DXM" isn't all that significant (maybe lots of people have that "consistent" measurement?

I don’t know any 17 year old that would buy candy and a soda, and then walk about a mile and not eat or drink any of it! I have no doubt he was using that stuff to make Lean, or Purple Drank when he got home.

Had not been following the case enough to comment on this, but found the info in the wnd article interesting.
St Skittles is characterized by the black caucus crowd as a ‘scholar’ athlete! Maybe that’s what attracted Ms Jeantel to him?

You missed my point. I meant how can such different things as skittles and cough syrup, taken together, ever be considered or thought up as something to get loaded on. Glue sniffing, (or aka ‘Snarfing’ in the 1940’s), has been around forever and it was a no secret after the very first sniff that you were off to the races if you continued!!!!

The really want real codeine cough syrup which is a Sched. III narcotic

correction Sched. II narcotic codeine is. (yoda, sorry). Hydrocodone is often used as well and it is a III, I believe.
The Zimmerman family should hold a news conference and say:
“look, we did not want to do this, we did not want to open new wounds, but many elements, including representatives of the Press, the US Dept of Justice and the Race-Baiter Community keep ragging on George and we’re just sick of it, so we called this press confereance to rebut the thousands of ignorant and asinine lies and half-truths propagated in the press, the internet and the tweeter rumor mill.”
And then just unload on them. At the end, announce a $60 million lawsuit against NBC. (aka “A Network of Liars”)
