” The detective was bluffing”
No, the detective was lying. Cops lie routinely. They’re allowed to lie. They’re encouraged to lie. They’re rewarded for lying.
In this case it was to Georges benefit. Maybe not what the police initially wanted, but to his benefit nonetheless
But you can go to jail for it...
You say he was lying, I say he was bluffing. Poker players bluff all the time.
"Cops lie routinely."
No they don't.
"Theyre allowed to lie."
There are situations in which cops can lie. One such situation is in an interview when a suspect thinks he has gotten away with a crime. A bluff "lie" has tripped up many suspects who really WOULD have gotten away with a crime.
"Theyre encouraged to lie."
Al Sharpton, is that you?
"Theyre rewarded for lying."
Poker players get rewarded for lying. I have seen officers fired for lying.
Nice list of nonsense. I congratulate your LIV stereotyping.
Before I forget, I want to remind you that the cops told the truth in this case. The police chief lost his job because he wouldn’t join the mob. These people have integrity. Learn about it sometime. Maybe you can get some, and refrain from sweeping ignorant stereotyping.
