Our athletes train hard for years, giving their whole lives to that one shining day in the sun to represent America. No politician should take that away for a gesture.
Your comment bears repeating. I am not an athlete but I know someone who possibly could have competed in 1980. Never got the chance again. It was heartbreaking.
