Ron Littlepage: Angela Corey's hissy fits, threats unprofessional (June 8th, 2012)

An unsolicited memo to State Attorney Angela Corey: You are a public official, and people have the right to express an opinion about how you are doing your job.

--------

D'Alemberte is a former president of the American Bar Association, a former president of Florida State University and a law professor — not too shabby in the legal credentials department.

When Corey was appointed to head up the investigation into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman, D'Alemberte had this to say:

"I cannot imagine a worse choice for a prosecutor to serve in the Sanford case. There is nothing in Angela Corey's background that suits her for the task, and she cannot command the respect of people who care about justice."

Earlier, D'Alemberte had criticized Corey in the Fernandez case. The reaction then: A public records request from her office to FSU seeking all emails, text messages and phone messages involving D'Alemberte related to Fernandez.

-------

When David Utter of the Southern Poverty Law Center was on Melissa Ross's radio program and had the audacity to say that Fernandez should be in the juvenile system instead of adult court, that prompted a 20-minute scream-fest from Corey in a call to the center's director.

--------

Alan M. Dershowitz is the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. He is, uh, rather well known.

Earlier this week, he wrote a perspective piece for Newsmax.com describing a "40-minute rant, during which she [Corey] threatened to sue Harvard Law School, to try to get me disbarred by the Bar Association and to file charges against me for libel and slander."

What set her off and led to the telephone call to Harvard? Derschowitz criticized how Corey filed the charges against Zimmerman.

But, but...Angela must have been right. Look at the violent reaction to the not guilty verdict.

Actually, I was much more influenced by her words, vocal tones and facial expressions when I heard her speaking, than her face.

Has she been randomly drug tested recently?
Do government officials at her power level submit to random drug tests?

If not, why not?

while the FL Bar can not unelect her. They can disbar her so she has nothing to do with appearing in court or supervising individual cases.

the governor could remove her ... but democrat Angela Corey was RINO Pam Bondi's election chairman

All very chummy

Pam Bondi got political ally Angela Corey on George Zimmerman case
.."..Bondi has been a key part of the scheme to enrich her race-motivated friends, Benjamin Crump and Daryl Parks – Trayvon family attorneys, from the beginning "...

Medical examiner who called Zimmerman injuries ‘insignificant’ no stranger to controversy

An investigator in the Jacksonville, Fla. Public Defender’s office tells the Daily Caller that he is “skeptical” of the testimony given by Dr. Valerie Rao, the medical examiner called by the prosecution to testify in the George Zimmerman trial on Tuesday.

A source close to the state attorney’s office says Dr. Valerie Rao and Corey have a “very, very, very close relationship.” The source, who asked not to be identified, called Rao and Corey “very good friends” and “close allies.”
