SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 17, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Days after the United States Supreme Court issued two decisions that delivered a significant blow to traditional marriage, a priest at the University of San Francisco’s St. Ignatius Catholic Church took the pulpit where he read a letter in support of same-sex “marriage” during his homily.

The letter “Why am I in the parade?” was penned by Jesuit Fr. John Whitney, pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Seattle, WA, for his parish’s bulletin. It explains Fr. Whitney’s reasons for participating in the nation’s largest demonstration in support of homosexual activity, the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Celebration. Fr. Gregory Bonfiglio

According to California Catholic Daily, the reading of the letter by Fr. Gregory Bonfiglio rendered the faithful of St. Ignatius at the June 30th Sunday Mass silent, with one parishioner leaving the sanctuary in tears saying, “It’s not his Church! It’s the Catholic Church! I should be able to just go to church! I want to go to a Catholic church!”

Pope Francis I, if he finds out about this, might just defrock and ex-communicate this 'priest' [at the University of San Francisco]

Satan is the god of this priest, or at the least, he is badly mislead...

I’ve had similar crap at my Catholic Church.

I’m a dedicated Catholic whose been going to a local Baptist Church because I just can’t take our priest.

Once a month we drive to another town (about 75 miles) to go to a decent Church.

So Father, how does this jibe with what Jesus said at the Wedding at Cana? Or was Jesus wrong?

Have you complained to the Bishop?

Bishops must keep all letters sent to them. It is part of what Bishops MUST DO.

You could try to set up a meeting with someone in the Diocese or at least a phone interview.

The Pope would do nothing. He has done nothing about the multitudinous blasphemies against church doctrine so far, same as all the other Popes.

By the rules of the Church, with this act he has excommunicated himself.

Then STAND UP ..make no unnecessary noise ..

and LEAVE .. !

Your departure will be noticed ,
and there may be others there who feel just as you do
and they may follow suite ..
and find a 'like-minded' congregation .

The last I knew , parish priests have not yet obtained INFALIBILITY !

Had I been in that church, I’d have stood up and shouted: “BLASPHEMER!!!”

This clown should read the Bible, not a “letter”.
