Snowden ‘Immune’ to Torture

NSA leaker Edward Snowden is boasting that he’s immune from torture and can never be broken, even by the world’s most experienced interrogators.

He made that odd claim in an equally strange e-mail exchange with former Sen. Gordon Humphrey (R-NH), The Guardian newspaper of Britain reported.

Humphrey wrote a supportive note to Snowden, thanking him for doing the “right thing in exposing what I regard as massive violation of the United States Constitution.”

The former lawmaker’s well-wishing letter came with a caveat: “Provided you have not leaked information that would put in harm’s way any intelligence agent.”

Snowden wrote back and promised that no one could steal or force secrets out of him — not even the Chinese or other torturers.

I don’t think the US Govt wants to interrogate him at this point....

He’s having delusions of grandeur at this point. This is why Libertarians aren’t good partners. They’re too flaky.

I’d bet that wasn’t actually Snowden in the “strange email exchange”.

Oops, never mind, it looks like the Post pulled the “immune” quote out of their, um, hat. “Snowden” never said it.

Likely he's already given up anything of use to both the Chinese and Russians.

He may be valuable to the Russians as they create the perception that they are disinterestedly neutral and future whistleblowers will be safe and free in Russia.

[After the first finger comes off they sing like a bird.]

One of the biggest modern liberal myths is that “torture doesn’t work.”

If the US gets him, he will vanish into a Supermax and will never be seen again.

Yeah, like our emails aren't intercepted.....
especially those commies....
what an idea, put words in their mouths......

(sarc)

How can you tell an email is from someone, else by “speech” structure, does this “sound” like Snowden?

I think he’s going to wait the 3+ yrs until Obama is out of office...and try to negotiate his return...he has no change of getting hired in the private sector...regardless, there was a proper whistle blower plan set up and he skipped his chain of command...he violated so many reg’s it’s not even funny...and if they hunt him down - then the question is - why did you guys keep referring to him as a low level IT admin?

I wrote that before I read the article and saw that the absurd “immune from torture” quote was simply made up by the Post. Nobody who just sits behind a desk would make that claim.

Not in a regular corporate job, but as a contractor, sure.

Seriously, chumming the water for the left. Former Sen. Gordon Humphrey (R-NH) must really need more attention or he is off his meds.

Absolutely none of this is relevant or makes any sense unless it is one more attempt to smear Snowden. A passing comment that Snowden may have used to assure Former Sen. Gordon Humphrey (R-NH)that he had no intent to harm America becomes a headline.
