Rubio Didn't Know Immigration Bill Allows Someone to Forge 2 Passports Before It's a Crime

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)--a Republican member of the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” who helped write the Senate immigration bill and one of 14 Republicans who voted for the bill’s final passage--was unaware that the legislation he helped usher through the Senate allows a person to forge up to two passports without penalty. “Under the Senate immigration bill, how many passports can someone forge before it becomes a crime?” CNSNews.com asked Rubio Thursday on Capitol Hill.

“How many…you can’t forge any passports,” Rubio replied. ”That’s a federal crime now.”

CNSNews.com: “It’s actually a part of the bill that it’s up, that you can do two, and three and on it’s a crime. Why would that be a part of it?”

Rubio: “Well, first of all, I think what you’re talking about is the way the law is described vis-a-vis, umm, waivers that people can get. And as I said, I mean, there are elements of that bill that continue to be, need to be improved, and I myself have disagreements about the way the waiver structure was put in the bill, and my hope is that it can be improved through the House process when they do their own bill.”

How many birth certificates are you allowed to forge, before it's a crime?

Just before the reform procedural vote, Judiciary Committee member Sen Grassley offered a simple amendment to the Judiciary Committee considering voting the immigration bill out of commmittee.

"The secretary (of homeland security) may not grant registered provisional immigrant status to an alien under this section unless the alien fully discloses to the secretary all the names and Social Security account numbers that the alien has ever used to obtain employment in the United States," said Grassley's amendment.

Grassley's amendment would not have prohibited illegal aliens from being converted into legal aliens just because they had used names and Social Security numbers that did not belong to them. It would only have required that the illegal aliens make the names and numbers they used known to DHS before they could be granted the right to legally live in the United States.

Grassley said, "Congress should not thumb its nose at the millions of Americans who are victims of identity theft, often perpetrated by an undocumented person who steals Social Security numbers to get jobs, govt benefits, driver's licenses and more. This amendment will simply require the person applying for RPI status to disclose any previously used Social Security numbers," said Grassley. "It's the first step to helping clean up the mess that's been created for the victim of identity theft. The amendment also authorizes certain federal agencies, upon receipt of this information, to notify individuals who were the victims."

===============================================

ON RECORD AS AIDING AND AETTING FELONIES Ranking member Sen Schumer dismissed Grassley's proposal. "When people are living in undocumented status, there are times, I suppose, when they've made up identities, made up Social Security numbers," Schumer told his Judiciary Committee colleagues. "How are they going to remember all that, and are we going to delay RPI status? "(The) purpose of this bill is to bring people out of the shadows. We all know when they lived in the shadows, they had to forge documents, forge Social Security numbers, et cetera. I just don't see how, when you've lived here 10 years, and you've had many different identities, many different numbers, you're going to remember them all," said Schumer.

==========================================

The Senate Judiciary committee defeated Grassley's amendment 8 to 10 on a party-line vote.

ACTION ALERT Freepers should mobolize locally--get grand juries to begin indicting these Senators for FAILING TO UPHOLD THE LAW AGAINST FELONIES. A few convictions and imprisonment oughta wake up the treasonous Congress. KEEP IN MIND---those elected to office are held to a higher standard of law than we peons....but have never been held to account.

Obama must only have 2 illegal passports. This whole mess is only to clean up the mess of forged/illegal documents in his wake.

Why have these mega, omnibus bills anyway? The public’s top concerns are the economy and jobs. Immigration is near the bottom.

If they must do something pass it item by item. First secure the borders, then you can discuss the rest.

At one time, the US State Dept refused to accept passports from Hudson County, NJ----b/c of the massive fraud facilitated by the latino county clerk. This same county clerk was later given a top job in the office of Gov Corzine.

===================================================

”The Senate’s immigration bill will raise national security risks and the Obama administration will do little more than “rubber-stamp” illegal immigrants into the program, endangering Americans," says the labor union representing the 12,000 ICE employees who will have to approve the applications.

The practice of latinos "just here for a better life" using multiple identities allows ample opportunity to undermine US ntl security. These "impoverished" latinos buy faked/forged papers for thousands of dollars-----the Washinton state rapist had some 30 identities. Another latino bilked UI of $3.4 million using multiple identities.

=========================================================

NJ BERGEN RECORD CIRCA 2004---Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity (many latinos establish multiple identities in order to ride the US gravy train).

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said NJ state police.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. After a search, police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

“Under the Senate immigration bill, how many passports can someone forge before it becomes a crime?”

“How many…you can’t forge any passports,” Rubio replied. ”That’s a federal crime now.”

And it’s a federal crime to hold several SS numbers, but no worries, the bill will also take care of that.

And since they have to cover the obama trail of illegal activities, it’ll all be retroactive.

Oh come on! Isn’t everyone entitled to a Mulligan on their first forged passport? What are you, just a bunch or racists or something?

Schumer and his staffers wrote the Bill.

Rubio sold Schumer’s product.

Think car sales. Schumer is the manufacturer.

Rubio is the car salesman.

Traitor.

Do we really want someone that stupid as a candidate for President?? Guess not.

A year ago, I would have roasted that statement. Now, I agree wholeheartedly. Lightweight. Not ready for prime-time.

Do those who sign and pass those bills EVER read them?

As a County Commissioner, I am responsible for knowing what the resolutions states BEFORE I sign and vote to pass it.

Are those in the Senate and Congress all inept? Good grief!
