On Friday, bestselling author Brad Thor offered to buy a new gun for George Zimmerman and all the ammunition he wants after learning the Department of Justice put a hold on the evidence in the case, delaying the return of Zimmerman's weapon.
“Read this carefully, as I don’t want 2 be misunderstood: SCREW the #DOJ. If they won’t give #Zimmerman his gun back, I’ll buy him a new one,” he tweeted.
“Whatever gun he wants + however much ammo, consider it done. I’m buying. Done deal,” he said in a tweet to Zimmerman's brother.
Thor addressed the issue earlier in the day on Chicago's "Windy City Live."
“At what point do we let an American citizen get done with the justice process?” he asked. “I mean this is a big deal, this could happen to anybody. If the government can keep hounding you, this guy’s life is ruined at this point. I know we have a dead child here but he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Trayvon Martin wasn’t on trial, George Zimmerman was, and he’s not guilty…at what point does he get to recommence his life?”

Loved a remark I saw on Twitchy re: George Zimmerman's gun:
The Department of Justice, which is weighing civil rights charges against Zimmerman, put a hold on all evidence in the case, including his firearm. Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder isn’t about to lose track of this gun.

I finished his latest book today, “Hidden Order.” Very good and very educational about the fed reserve system.
I will have to check out his books. I really liked Vince Flynn and have all his books, but alas he has departed too young and there will be no more to follow.

The way it’s going he’s going to need some hand grenades and a bazooka.
Never heard of him, and in fact I do not GENERALLY read modern “pop” fiction.
Nevertheless, I’ll put one of his books on my Kindle.

fwiw, I thought it amusing that at the Spy Museum in DC (which is fascinating) Thors (and Flynns & Silvas) books are front and center on display in the gift/book shop.
I listened to Thor and was stunned - he has the facts of the case exactly right from the very beginning when they were shopping around for a district attorney who would charge Z. and then bringing in a special prosecutor to get the job done. He had all that correct. I will surely buy his new book which involves the Federal Reserve. He mentioned the book before this one was about the NSA. This writer knows his business - PLUS HE IS ONE GOOD LOOKING DUDE.

Since Thor is buying I’d go with a Sig Extreme in 9MM.
It’s probably as expensive to shoot as my 45 Colt Rossi Ranch Hand (I’m anxiously awaiting open carry in Texas :)
