The problem I’ve seen is that in all the videos I’ve watched that have caught these assaults, I don’t see how a concealed weapon would help the victim. they’re all sucker punched and then the aggressor runs off.
You would have to preemptively shoot any black that enters your personal space. My personal space is about a 10 foot radius. This would make it difficult to be on a subway or walk through a bus station. Will have to get a vest that can hold 20 or 30 extra clips.

I believe you're right, Roos_Girl, though the combination of firearms in citizens' hands and improved situational awareness could help in some cases. "If it saves even one life...!" as I've heard politicians say.
True. The only thing you have to protect yourself is situational awareness. Never trust an approaching person of any race if you are in a situation like waiting for a bus
In a case like that you’re probably right. I’ve heard that in some cases there are several assailants and if the initial attack doesn’t knock the victim out the rest of the pack swarms in. In that case a concealed weapon may help if the victim isn’t too stunned to employ it. Of course in a situation like that weapon retention may be a problem since the attackers are right on top of you.
Another way a concealed weapon can help is less direct. I’ve carried concealed since 1994 and it has helped me develop the habit of being more aware of potential attacks. The change in mindset is a definite asset.
As a matter of self defense today, you have to come to terms that as a white person you could very well be the target of racial crime, particularly assault.
With this in mind, and understanding that the predator class prefers a sudden, blindside attack, you will have to adjust your positioning and posture. Recognizing the attack posture of your enemy is extremely important as well. They will approach looking from side to side for witnesses or those who might intervene (police). Very often they will sway to their strong hand side as a windup, then deliver the blow with body weight and force.
Remember, time equals distance, distance equals time.
The more distance you create from your assailant, the more time you have to deal with the threat.
In any fight, and especially with the tactics employed by the polar bear hunting class, your mission, if engaged, is not surviving, it’s winning. A large step in winning is staying in the fight, and not getting knocked unconscious.
So you must protect your head.
If ever engaged in conversation with one of the predatory class under circumstances that make you feel they could be a threat, steeple your fingers out in front of you just directly under your line of sight. This gives you a headstart if they decide to assault you. Even if you deflect a portion of the blow as it rolls off your forearms, then you are in a much better position than being proned out cold.
Also for those that shoot, practice shooting from hip and from laying on your back prone, shooting between your knees. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this or your range disallows it, dry fire this technique at home. Remember, most fights go to the ground. Count on that happening. It most certainly did with GZ.
I would also recommend a technique many of us in LE use. It’s called “Self-talk”. It’s a basic “If this_____ happens, then I do this______...”. It’s having a plan beforehand, practicing it in your mind from time to time, in order to spend less time thinking about what to do in critical incident, and more time ACTING in manner that leads to a positive resolution.
