Last Friday afternoon the president injected himself into the Trayvon/Zimmerman mix again by doing what he excels at, namely, increasing the racial divide, blaming the white Hispanic, condemning guns and upbraiding essentially everyone but the stoned and violent truant named, Trayvon.
Look, I dont fault Obama for stirring the Trayvon pot again. Hell, I would have if I were in his shoes. Why, you ask? Well, its pretty simple folks: it takes everyones attention off the Mama June-sized scandals hes boiling in right now, thats why.
Of course hes going to milk this cow. He doesnt want us yapping about the ubiquitous outrages hes enmeshed in; such as the IRS, NSA, DOJ, Benghazi, bankrupt Detroit or how much ObamaCare is hated and sucks. Im really surprised he didnt blow up a Sudanese aspirin factory yesterday and I guarantee hes got Axlerod and Oliver Stone in a joint effort to "fabricate" a quick war next week in order to further cover his scandal-addled backside. I hear Dustin Hoffman is slated to reprise his 1997 role in Wag the Dog.
Its called diversion folks. I used to do it all the time when I was in trouble as a child.
Ill never forget this one time in the 8th grade when I mouthed off to a rather Rubenesque chick. She didnt particularly like my quip and forthrightly said that she was, going to kick my ass. I said, You cant kick my ass, and she said, Yes I can and I will kick your ass today, after school.
By the look in her eye I knew this massive Amazonian volleyball wench was serious, and more than likely, if I didnt do something quick, I was screwed because at that juncture I probably weighed 100lbs-soaking wet and did not know martial arts.
Im sitting there thinking, Whats a young, skinny, smart ass to do? Thats when Todd came walking up to us and I said, Hey, Todd. Deanna thinks shes tough. Hey, Deanna, I bet you cant kick Todds ass. Deanna said, I can kick his ass, to which Todd said, No you cant. Mission accomplished. It was at that point that I had stealthily extracted myself from that equation. Yes, I had successfully averted attention away from me to Todd.
Oh, by the way she destroyed Todd. It was brutal. She yanked half of his hair off of his head. I can still see the blonde strands from Todds bleeding noggin wafting in the west Texas breeze. She also yanked his pants down and as he was trying to pull them up she devastated him with a Tyson-like upper cut and finished him Frazieresque left hook. It. Was. Brutal. I was sitting there thinking, as I watched that epic beat down, Garsh, that could have been me.
Thats whats going down right now with our President, ladies and gents. Diversion.
Allan Erickson points out that Obama would like us all to stop talking about stuff like
- NSA leaks revealing unprecedented domestic surveillance some say far exceeds the original intent of the Patriot Act. Feds in bed with 50 communications companies to collect data on citizens. The Director of National Intelligence is accused of lying under oath.
- IRS intentionally harassing conservative groups, infringing on constitutional rights, persecuting average citizens with the inappropriate use of FBI and ATF investigators to suppress opposition voices.
- DOJ investigating journalists: Rosen at Fox, hundreds of editors and reporters at the Associated Press. The Attorney General is now accused of perjury.
- Serial scandals and controversies over the years at the DOJ, leaving the Attorney General looking like a criminal co-conspirator: Black Panthers cut loose after being convicted of felonies, Fast & Furious gun running resulting in hundreds of deaths, subsequent stonewalling of congressional investigators, and bungling the Boston Massacre investigation, to name a few. Whistleblowers again targeted for persecution and sanction.
Peggy Noonan also notes that Obama would appreciate less attention on the IRS
The IRS scandal was connected this week not just to the Washington officethat had been establishedbut to the office of the chief counsel.
That is a bombshellsuch a big one that it managed to emerge in spite of an unfocused, frequently off-point congressional hearing in which some members seemed to have accidentally woken up in the middle of a committee room, some seemed unaware of the implications of what their investigators had uncovered, one pretended that the investigation should end if IRS workers couldnt say the president had personally called and told them to harass his foes...
Still, what landed was a bombshell. And Democrats know it. Which is why they are so desperate to make the investigation go away. They know, as Republicans do, that the chief counsel of the IRS is one of only two Obama political appointees in the entire agency.
And lastly (and succinctly), my buddy Rad Magnum points out:
The best way to escape the consequences of scandals (like NSA, IRS, DOJ, Benghazi ) is to create a bigger scandal.
Lets give em something to talk about
The media and the masses will not only overlook the Obama scandals, but they will make him the champion who fights the racial discrimination in our justice system.
The DOJ, one of his largest campaign contributors, has been funding the Trayvon Martin protests. In their minds, Obama is the only hope for justice for a poor victim like Trayvon Martin in such a corrupt judicial system.
Media focus drives politics because headlines = votes. The money falls where the headline crawls.
If you dont like what people are saying about you, change the conversation. Don Draper, Mad Men
This is exactly right.
IRS/ White House connection getting revealed.
Not to mention provide cover for the amnesty bill being put together by GOP turncoats like Ryan, Boehner and Gowdy.
i think its all about gun control for him. he’s somehow managing to coral all the energy and direct where he wants to.
It’s to distract from the whole package. He is a total failure in all respects and by any previous measure used for presidents.
WSJ needs a profile “Who is William Wilkins? “ like the Vince Foster one years ago.
I believe he is using this case to accomplish a number of goals. In addition to using it as a distraction, he is using it to work up the base for the 2014 election. Also, to hit at our gun laws, to strike at our system and claim we need to change it, to intimidate Americans as he demonstrates what a lynch mob he can work up in short order.
The people on the right REALLY FALL FOR THIS EVERY TIME!!! IDIOTS!

We watch as this big distraction goes on as our country spirals into the abyss led by a tyrant who now has a free hand at more destruction as the congress and the media is off on a tail chasing contest. F them.
I’ve been saying this since the verdict, to the low and medium information voter, there is nothing else going on in America or the world.
It is working well for Obama, thanks to his cohorts in the Media.
Obama has never risen above his community organizer status or his race. De facto POTUS Valery Jarrett is running from scandals using George Zimmerman as her/their cover. These people are more dangerous than the terrorists.....
I agree 100%
Multitasking to the max!
LOVE it!!
Yes. the trayvon circus is to distract us from the IRS scandal and the Amnesty bill going through Congress
I’ve said this forever . but freepers here kept posting thousands of posts on this trayvon circus , posting only a handful of posts on immigration threads
Thanks so much!
That’s us!
With his media bootlickers playing along, it's a cinch.
And let us never forget “Fast and Furious”.
