if the dollar ever strengthens against the euro, NYC will be in for some population decline.
I expect that after the Sept. Germany elections, Greece will be in deep DOODOO. Next will be Portugal and then Italy.
So sometime in 2014 the Euro could be dropping against the Dollar. Or may not. The US has issues and the Fall, Winter Debt extension votes in Congress may cause the Dollar to fall as well.
