Been part of my s portfolio for years. Even that Libtard film Supersize Me’ failed to make a dent. Anyone ever try going to a downtown McD’s during lunchtime? The most bought meal is the Dollar Menu or anything for a buck. The word ‘dollar’ has more effect than 5000 calories. No one gives a rat’s ass about calories unless you’re on a diet or a brain-dead lib.
I’m thinking that if you’re going to McDonalds for a meal, you’re not thinking about calories.
MO’s version of ‘The Hunger Games’ She needed a vehicle in which she could star.
Even funnier, step into any McDonald’s in Europe. It’s a packed house.
The study has a major flaw — the “keep your nose out of my business” effect.
If someone came up to me and handed me a paper telling me I was eating too much, my first (childish) reaction would be to order more, because I don’t like being told what to do. “You are not my mother” is something I find myself thinking a lot.
I assume I’m not the only one. Oddly, when the store simply lists all the calories, I do tend to pick lower-calorie items, because it is my choice, and they are simply giving me the information I need.
So maybe the should repeat this, but by having the information displayed generally in the restaurant, and then they could ask people if they SAW the information.
pretty soon those little buttons they press with a picture of a burger or shake on it will count up the calories you are ALLOWED to eat during lunch
Well, they should love you to eat at Chic-fil-A, hubby and I ate there for the first time recently, since it was there and of course we support them.
The place was immaculately clean, the service was excellent, the food was quite good and the portions were...inadequate!
Even for me, and I am a small eater. Hubby probably could have eaten 3 lunches.
Would I go back? Maybe, but only because I support their views. Otherwise I’m sticking with wendy’s, love their chili.
No. I don't think that way. Maybe liberals do, but I make up my own mind no matter what someone tries to tell me.
It's convenience food. No more, no less.
You know, that effect was intense when they banned the “ring pull” tabs on soda cans. I’m pretty sure most EVERYONE pulls the newer style off out of sheer spite for the banning of the older ones and I find just as many of the damn things metal detecting...
Is it possible that some people resented being told what to eat and viewed it as an intrusion on their personal life and ate more than they normally would or did not reduce what they ate as a go ton hell statement?
My bud who teaches in Japan tells me every time he goes to McD’s it’s packed like a concert. From cashier to door even at dead times of 3 PM.
Not even Bammy wants to live under Moochelle’s dietary nazism.
But I’ve always LOL’d at women who go through the salad trough at lunch and pile on the toppings and ladle on the dressing and then pat themselves on the back because they were “good girls” for *only* having a salad for lunch.
Me too, but without the garnish....
Some people don’t like smarmy Lefties telling them what to do.
McDonalds might as well be Ruth’s Chris to many people today.
I personally know someone who orders the dollar menu/cheeseburger and has a pop can for lunch so his budget is $1.
I wonder what percentage of these folks can read the handout well enough to understand what info is being conveyed?
