Investigators say the two men went into a cottage in the 4400 block of Land O'Lakes Boulevard in an attempted home invasion/robbery.
One of the visitors inside was armed, deputies say, and opened fire, hitting both men. They ran away and collapsed on the sidewalk.

SO WHAT?? If someone enters a house illegally, we have every right to assume they're armed. What are the victims supposed to do? Ask the criminals to sit down so they can have a conversation about the weapons they brought with them, and have a duel?

Pretty good shootin by the vics, being able to hit BOTH perps. Too bad the perps survived and are eating up hundreds of thousands in taxpayer bucks at public hospitals, not to mention hundreds of thousands of taxpayer bucks to house them afterwards in the state pen.
