KEYWORDS:
It looks like Texas might get some closure in the murder of a 6 year-old girl earlier this month.

Alanna Gallagher's body was found bound and gagged under a tarp near her home on July 1. There's been very little news abut it since then but police served a warrant today on a teenage suspect and he decided to shoot it out with them.

The kid is 17 but if he did the crime he ought to be on our death row.

Indeed.

Was he eligible to have been Obama’s son?

Very bad kid, with a bad attitude.

His Facebook pages says he likes the rock & roll bands, Poison, Metalica, Guns & Roses, Kiss and the Quiet Riot.

And also is a gamer.

Bad news, the people around him should have seen that he was homicidal.

No. White kid. Apparently also set the victim's family's car on fire after the girl disappeared. He lived two doors down from the family/victim.

From that description, it could have been me. Except for the whole "Poison fan" thing. That and I'm not 17 (it's been 27 years since I saw 17).

Interesting. Stoner that graduated from private school last year. Into gaming and heavy metal music. Typical product of our current society and education.

Certainly not!
We all know, now, after a year of relentless hammering by the no-information, ignorant clueless liberal subculture that 17 is still barely a child.
Just out of diapers even, and weighing about 50 pounds, and never get in trouble, can't use drugs, etc., etc.,

re: “when FBI and local law enforcement were serving search and arrest warrants at the home of 17-year-old Tyler Holder,”

Was the 6 yr old “following” Tyler? Are the media photos of Tyler from when he was 8 yrs old? After all, he is just a 17 yr old “child”. Sarc.

So, what on his facebook pages would lead someone to think he was homicidal? Cuz liking crappy hair metal bands and playing video games don’t seem like “red flags” to me.

“Sources close to the investigation say lab tests showed that DNA found at the crime scene matched that of the teenager, who lives at the home two houses down from the Gallaghers in the 600 block of Babbling Brook Dr.”

That’s interesting. So, either this guy was already up to no good if they have his DNA sample in the database at age 17, or they got DNA samples from all the neighbors?

Considering that he has been head shot and transported to John Petersmith Hospital he might already be there.

LOL.

On a more serious note, it appears there were some leads in the case but the police were tight-lipped about it and we didn't have the local news people blabbering on and on with speculation and guesses. Quite unlike another situation of national prominence of late.

Some people are just evil. One can argue whether they are born that way or become that way, but evil exists. I don’t care what games he played or music he liked, he is evil and only God can change that.

Lots of kids enjoy gaming and various types of music but that does not make them homicidal maniacs, though I'm sure more news will come out about what he was really like.

Well, you’ve described probably about 20-30% of teenagers, and they certainly aren’t all homicidal.

Same here...except I don't like KISS in addition to Poison. So if we are gamers that like Metal we are automatically suspected of being homicidal? I would be willing to bet the overwhelming majority of murders are caused by non-gamers that are into hip-hop.

53 years ago I passed 17, I remember it (rather vaguely), but still...

I was driving a red & white 1956 Chevy w/ 6 in a row and dating what turned out to be my ex-wife. I was out of college with two degrees before the first Moon landing. Would I change things if I could? Probably not...

Regards,
GtG

I was driving a 1966 Nova SS at the ripe old age of 17. The guy who bought it from me after I went into the service still has it, but everyone in my hometown still calls it my Nova. He's had it for about 25 years now. I only had it for 3.

At the time of the first moon landing I was in Smack summer at the Air Force Academy. You didn't get to watch TV then but they made an exception to permit us to watch the event unfold.
