Detroit City Council member JoAnn Watson on Tuesday introduced a resolution supporting the U.S. Justice Department's investigation into the Florida slaying of Trayvon Martin. Federal investigators are looking into whether or not George Zimmerman violated the teen's civil rights when he followed him in his gated neighborhood out of suspicion, leading to an altercation and the fatal shooting.

George Zimmerman violated the teen's civil rights when he followed him in his gated neighborhood out of suspicion...

So this would be different if he just happened to be walking in the same general direction as Trayvon? Is walking in the same direction as black people against the law now? Wow! I better watch out where I walk then. Say I am walking uptown and a black person is in front of me, what is the legal limit before I must change direction? One block? Two blocks?

Actually, the Detroit City Council may have stumbled on a brilliant solution tot eh city's fiscal problems.

Remember "The Mouse that Roared," the brilliant satire that became an equally funny movie starring Peter Sellers, about the Duchy of Grand Fenwick that declares war on the US because they want to avail themselves of the largesse that America always bestows on the countries that it defeats in war.

Well, Detroit just needs to declare war on Florida..send a few busloads of the brothers down to invade Palm Beach..maybe occupy Trump's house, and then sit back and wait for the oranges, and the "juice" to flow up north..

Idiots. Black kids are being slaughtered by other black kids in American cities and these morons are wasting time on this.

Someone on the Council brought up up this very point, but Ms Watson was having none of that:

“We need to have that same level of outrage with respect to the black on black crime that takes place in our community,” Councilman Kenneth Cockrel Jr. said. “How many people were shot — maybe even shot and killed this past weekend in the city — mostly likely by folks who look just like them?”

Watson said there are many events held regularly to address violence in Detroit. “Because the so-called major media does not cover all of the expressions does not mean it does not happen,” she said. “So that’s not correct.”

Maybe they would like to talk about now former city council president Charles Pugh. Seems that he has some unexplained expenditures and other questions to answer.

And after that photo was snapped, they both ran to their Prius and got back to Sterling Heights before the sun set.

The Detroit City Council is now powerless to do anything anyway since being taken over by the state of Michigan and an Emergency Manager.

So the remaining council members who haven’t ‘disappeared’ or quit have nothing to do so they will continue what they have always done, and that is carrying on Mayor Coleman Young’s racist policies and continue to drive ALL COLORS out of the city.

And yes, Monic Conyers is still in federal prison.

I’m just sure that Detroit City Council member JoAnn Watson introduced resolutions supporting U.S. Justice Department investigations into Detroit government, union, contractor hanky-panky.

You have to realize that the City Council has become so insignificant in the city of Detroit that they are trying everything to get some recognition. Nobody here in the Detroit area pays any attention to her or the rest of them.
It is obvious that they are missing their trips to see how other cities are doing.

“Yeah, the Detroit City Council is really in a position to be offering advice to anyone about anything.”

They have just effectively proven that they are doubling down on stupid. You know. Typical leftist behavior.
