As the Motor City filed for Chapter Nine bankruptcy to get out from under $18 billion in liabilities, Gov. Rick Snyder, R, put himself out front and center to answer questions and discuss the measure with the press on a number of national and local news shows.
It wasn’t a bad idea, either. A new Conservative Intel poll of 672 likely Michigan voters shows that they overwhelmingly agree with his decision to put his state’s largest city through bankruptcy — even when reminded of the possible harm the move could inflict on pensioners and municipal bondholders...

It seems we mostly hear about the notorious cities of Detroit, Dearborn and Flint giving the impression that it is a Dem state. That was my assumption too.

Michigan in reality is a very conservative state.

These pensioners everyone is so worried about are the same one’s who drove the city into bankruptcy.....you reap what you sow. Every thinking human being knew when they were striking and get these sweetheart deals that the day of reckoning was coming for the pyramid scheme.....that day has arrived and they’re the ones left holding the bag....tough Sh!#!!!! Should have elected honest conservative people!!!
