Anthea Butler, the Ivy League religious studies professor who called God a white racist after the Trayvon Martin verdict last week, doubled down on her statement and denounced the conservative media outlets that criticized her.
Butler, an associate professor of religious studies at the University of Pennsylvania, wrote a blog post for Religious Dispatches last week arguing that most Americans worship a “white racist god with a problem” who is “carrying a gun and stalking young black men.”
“As a historian of American and African-American religion, I know that the Trayvon Martin moment is just one moment in a history of racism in America that, in large part, has its underpinnings in Christianity and its history,” she wrote.

Ooooh... one caveat - a bit of change in the language can make all the difference in the meaning.
You don’t have to BE “black” to have immunity,
you just have to CLAIM to be “black” to have immunity.
I don’t remember who it was, but some pale brown gal received a music or acting award and claimed to be the first “black” woman to get it.
tenure is stupid, especially if they work for the state/feds.
Every politician thinks they deserve tenure, every public employee. Its despicable.
Her God may be a racist, mine isn’t. Perhaps she needs to reexamine her concept of God.
You can take the black out of the ghetto, you can educate them, you can give them jobs as professors, you can make them Reverends, you can make them millionaires, but you can never stop them from screaming racism, and pissing and moaning about how bad they are treated.
The Democrats may have the right idea.
Have blacks abort their children, become queer so they don’t breed, let them kill each other by the thousands in the large cities,and import Hispanics to do their work. Pretty soon they will be gone. Give Democrats credit where it is due, their plan may be working.
Her entire life is an Affirmative Action charade. Some make work PHD paper and now a fat AA salary with no chance of getting fired.

In a way, this woman is doing us a favor.
I suspected some “cosmic battle” aspect of this whole antipathy toward anything white movement.
She confirms it. “Acting white” is conforming to the Judeo-Christian norms based on God’s Laws.
It’s no wonder so many liberals of all “colors” have jumped on the anti-white bandwagon. It’s just another facet parallel to the anti-Semitism of history.
There is no tenure on Judgment Day.
“Thank God I got a great institution that takes care of me,” she said. “I have tenure. I can’t get fired.”
I wonder what god she relies on to meet her needs?
As always, educated blacks in high positions whine about the white man keeping THEM down.
True she can’t be fired - more the pity! - but I hope parents of prospective students and the alumni are seeing that they have a functional idiot as a member of the tenured faculty.
Ah, thank (her non-existent) God for allowing her to demonstrate that 1) so-call “Ivy League” schools have completely jettisoned their standards, and 2) she is an illiterate bimbo who - were it not for quotas - wouldn’t be able to hold a job as a waitress.

If you want to find out who's in charge, find out who you aren't allowed to criticize.

Tenure can be revoked.
I'd argue that her words require more publicity because of this.
In academia, student retention and recruitment is #1. Always. If this idiot's commentary keeps just one student away, then she's a liability, not an asset. Sure, she has tenure, but there are always ways to get around that.
