George the III showed signs of the disease very early. He suffered from it at least 30 years and possibly 50 years of his reign. It was not at the end of his reign.

Again, George III was actually the best of the Hanoverians, (and far better than George IV).

He gets bad press because of the irrational hatred lobbed at him by Yankees who needed to demonize him to achieve their ends.
