Lindsey Graham Wants War With Iran at the End of the Summer (military force resolution)
Yahoo News ^ | 7/23/13 | Connor Simpson

Sen. Lindsey Graham told a "cheering" audience Tuesday that if the relationship between the U.S. and Iran doesn't improve by the end of summer, he will ask Congress to authorize going to war.

"If nothing changes in Iran, come September, October, I will present a resolution that will authorize the use of military force to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb," the South Carolina Republican said, according to a post on CQ Roll Call, at a conference for members of Christians United for Israel today.

"The only way to convince Iran to halt their nuclear program is to make it clear that we will take it out," Graham added.

Taking a strong-arm approach to Iran right now seems like a pretty terrible idea. But Graham already knows that.

This bill, is an item for his 2014 resume. He can now say he tried to act tough on national security and foreign policy, and he would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for those dang Democrats who stopped him.

This from Lindsey Graham who peed all over himself when he saw the ‘atrocious’ photos from Abu Ghraib prison?

If Graham and McCain had their way, we would be at war with Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Libya, Tunisia, Haiti, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Easter Islands, etc....

Oh hell no! Tired military mom here. If Iran needs to go, just nuke it. Don’t waste any more American lives trying to “help” muslim countries.

I think he, and McCain, are seriously misjudging conservative sentiment. Also, look how many republicans voted to keep the NSA spying.

Sadly Graham and McCain may get their terrible wish. Kerry is trying to force Netanyahu into “negotiations”. This may cause his narrow coalition to fall. Before it does Netanyahu will attack Iran in an attempt to destroy its nuclear program. He will not leave office and leave Iran unmolested. The US would be drawn into the hostilities. Will the interests of the US be served? Graham should be concerned about our big blue water ships operating in the narrow confines of the Persian Gulf. Iran has sophisticated shore to ship missiles. Our Navy faces a debacle worse than Pearl Harbor.

Why not- just on the condition that the first attack is launched in an obsolete two-seater where Lindseed is the co-pilot for McStain, and that we terminate the war about two seconds after they are shot down....

Forget defending our own borders, the scary Iranians must be stopped. A lot of conservatives are getting tired of this endless obsession with Middle Eastern regional squabbles that have marginal American security interest while the government neglects the first duty of a sovereign state at the American border.

Another politician that wants to kill American troops.

Liberals like Graham and Obama sure do want to re-make the Middle East, don't they?
