Ten black former American Idol contestants from various seasons have filed a lawsuit against the show, claiming that they were eliminated from the competition due to a racist ratings scheme, TMZ.com reports.
New York attorney James H. Freeman, representing the plaintiffs, says he began investigating the show after Jermaine Jones was kicked off on March 15, 2012, because he didn't inform producers about multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Freeman then discovered that throughout Idol's then-11-season run, only nine other people had been publically disqualified. And as it turns out, all of them happened to be black.

I have had it up to here with the freaking race card. HEY, HE MISLED ABOUT THE ARREST WARRANTS. We don;t know the reasons for the other dq’s but if they are of a similar vein, then the fact that the rejects all happened to be Black is either a) coincidence or b) evidence of social dysfunction within the Black community that is going unaddressed because of PC.
This is to the race-card-morons filing suit: You weren’t any good...in spite of what your friends and parents say to you. In other words, you are a talent-less schmuck. Go back to working at the recycling center.

Unless they can show whites with similar legal problems, I don’t think they’ll get too far, And it sounds like BS that applying for AI is the same as applying for employment.

Not only were three of the four judges black, but the show seems to have a real bias against white, heterosexual male contestants now. Viewers had made it clear they preferred straight, white male winners, (six out of the last seven winners having been that.) Yet last season, every male contestant in the top ten seemed gay, and I think there was only one white among them. One of the male contestants actually sang in Spanish most of the time. (On “American” Idol!) And the males were all such weak singers, they got eliminated one after another until the final five were all female. The producers were bound and determined to have a female winner, preferably a nonwhite, and the judges’ comments and critiques reflected that. It was extremely obvious. They got what they wanted when Candice Glover won, but her sales have been weaker than any previous winner.
So to say that the show is “racist” is ridiculous. I used to enjoy American Idol, but I think I’m through with it now. It’s turned into “Gay, Immigrant and Nonwhite Idol.”
Great observations. I didn’t see much of last season, it just got too hard to watch. But from what I did see, it mattered not how terrible a performance a black contestant gave Randy would go on and on about how good it was and the other judges would chime in with much of the same. They put in as little effort into hiding their racial bias as I did in tolerating it. The wife and I had watched the show since season one but no more.

Well if they were booted because of outstanding warrants or prior criminal history the lawsuit will go nowhere. Seems they just seem to have more criminal history in general, you lnow the white man turning them into criminal and all. It had nothing to do with the fact that they were caught committing a criminal act.
Will Hung. And they made fun of his sterotypical Asianness big time even bringing in backup singers. The guy couldnt sing a lick but oy was it funny when he tried to. He didnt ifle a lawsuit and I bet he made some pretty good money there for a while.
Black racism = feigned outrage for profit. Not much different than Nigerian scams.
