I researched this character on the internet. Apparently, it was the local union president who led the taunts, so it was fellow turnkeys who ‘harrassed’ him. BTW, according to this article, http://ca.news.yahoo.com/gay-former-jail-guard-awarded-98k-harassment-ottawa-185900086.html , he will get almost 250K in backpay!
Why the ‘H’ did they hire him and how did he put up with the comments from the inmates? I would think their comments would be worse than his fellow turnkeys’ comments.
I have heard it said that both screws and inmates are serving time, just the screws do it in 12 hour shifts. For some, I guess that is the only difference!
