I agree with that to a point. Some areas are depressed and there aren’t many opportunities. I do think some Blacks have it very tough trying to crawl out, especially if they’ve had parents and family members that retard their success or hold them down.
The biggest mistake people with limited income make, is using credit. That can turn you into a slave faster than Boss Hog.
That’s the same for Whites or Blacks too.
And there is the little fact that Bummer with his enviro policies has eliminated so many of the hard work, get a start jobs for folks with little education.
Work in a mill or a steel mill for a while, save some money, buy a little house, get some night school and move on up.
Nopers, we cannot have folks dealing with icky, dirty, not-green stuff to get started in life.
How can you disagree in any way?
Where would someone go to have more opportunity than what is here in this country?
I agree with the credit check to get a job. It doesn’t make sense. When I was in management back in the 80s I hired a woman as a salesperson. She was damn good. Two weeks after I hired her I got a call from my boss that I had to fire her because she had bad credit. I couldn’t believe it. I told him they might as well fire me, too, ‘cause my credit sucked at the time. Why? Because I had been unemployed for six months. It’s stupid.
A young black man was interviewed in East Cleveland and said they want out but don’t have the money to get out. I guess I’ll ask this question until the day I die: What is the solution?
They do have one legitimate complaint, but the Jacksons and Sharptons of this world don’t care. Inner city blacks are trapped in horrible government schools. If these people really cared about the future of black children, they would find a way to get them into private schools.
