To President Obama & Peter Vincent, Office of General Counsel:
I write to ask for the immediate release of the Dream 8; Claudia Amaro, Adriana Gil Diaz, Luis Leon, Maria Peniche, Ceferino Santiago, Lulu Martinez, Marco Saavedra and Lizbeth Mateo. All 8 are seeking your permission to be allowed to return home to their families and communities.
I believe all of the DREAM 8 deserve a second shot at the American Dream, after all America IS the land of second opportunities. These kids did not leave the United States because they wanted to, they were all forced to leave their homes because of either deportation or policies that made living in America impossible.
Adriana left 3-months before DACA was announced because she was tired of worrying, each night, whether her mom would come home to her or end up in one of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's jails. Luis Leon left North Carolina in 2011 because he was banned from attending the community college system. Maria Peniche, of Revere, Massachusetts, left with her younger brother and parents just 3-days before DACA was announced, they left because Maria too had dreams of one-day attending college. Claudia Amaro came to this country because her father was murdered in Mexico; she lived in Kansas for more than 17-years before being deported with her 5-year old U.S. Citizen son. Ceferino Santiago was forced to leave his family in Lexington, Kentucky because he needed a $21,000 surgery; his life depended on his leaving and now, just like the rest of the DREAM 8, he is ready to come home and re-unite with his community.
These Dreamers, despite having the same dreams as the thousands living in the United States, have no way of qualifying for DACA and other relief because their life circumstances forced them to leave. These Dreamers are now depending on your leadership to create a pathway for them to come home; President Obama, will your Administration open the door for the Dream 8 to come home?
I urge your Administration to immediately grant discretion and parole in the Dream 8.

If congress continues to support the breaking of US laws then soon we will have no need for congress. Eventually, nobody will obey laws and it will be the people in Washington DC who started it. Why pay those huge salaries, support those huge congressional staffs, if we are going to ignore laws? Think of the billions we could save
If Obama lets them out.I do believe the border will be flooded with others making the same claim..immigration reform..What are they going to do when more cases like this start showing up at the border..?
Why should anyone in the U.S. be concerned with the family problems of foreign nationals? There certainly is no Constitutional basis for doing so.
I say deport them.Every single one of them.Canadians,Brits,Irish,Greeks,Iranians,Indians,Thais,Nigerians,Kenyans,Brazilians...AND MEXICANS! And if they come back after having been deported they get to visit the SuperMax in Florence,Colorado for five years.Yes,we'll have to spend a few billion to expand it...so raise my taxes by $50/yr.
I’m all for sending them home - to Mexico or wherever they came from.
Maybe if they would rape or kill someone Driving while intoxicated they would be free already. As long as they don’t forge a passport four times its all ok. Just plain fraud doesn’t qualify for citizenship.
