Animals Activists Take on Miami-Dade Mayor Over Services Funding

Animal activists staged a demonstration outside the county building ahead of the Miami-Dade County Commission budget meeting Tuesday to protest proposed cuts to funding for animal services.

Their beef with Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez centers on a straw vote in which just under 500,000 voters approved a yearly $19 million program to spay and neuter dogs and cats.

The animal kooks are losing...notice how the NBC Miami (the same NBC, by the way, that painted George Zimmerman as a racist by SELECTIVELY EDITING the 9-1-1 call) has their sub-heading on this story?

It says:

There was no budget of $19,000,000 for dogs and cats. The key is in the details, admitted to by the "journalist" in this story, but then ignored:

Yep. A "straw vote" is, as any high school kid OUGHT to be able to tell you, is a NON-BINDING vote...subject to the circumstances when it comes down to the nut-cutting.

But, NBC and the animal rights maniacs don't want you to know that...they'd rather make you think animals are being slaughtered by the mayor.

In fact, the mayor ADDED $4,000,000 to the budget for this animal stuff; he DID NOT cut $15,000,000.

And by the way, anyone else find it ironic these animal rights screamers can get all sorts of TV coverage, sympathetic TV coverage at that, but those of us who want to save precious, innocent unborn PERSONS are ignored?

LIBs, as usual, have more compassion for animals than humans. Could it be that LIBs are closer to animals on the evolutionary scale to animals and therefore feel exceptional affinity for lower life forms?

Like the TV show Animal Cops. There are several Animal Cops like in Miami, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Arizona, which is heavily supported by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

The Houston Animal Cops seems to be the best probably because they deal with livestock as well as pets.
