Supporters and experts say a gay couple's success is getting their out-of-state marriage recognized in Ohio despite a state ban could lead to a rush of similar cases aiming to take advantage of an apparent legal loophole.

John Arthur of Cincinnati is dying of Lou Gehrig's disease. A federal judge on Monday granted him the right to be listed as married on his death certificate and to have his partner of more than 20 years listed as his surviving spouse.

It’s funny how the romneybots react when confronted with facts such as these.

“By the way, your loser never appointed a single conservative judge, in fact exactly 75% of his appointees were not even republicans and he despised Reagan and “purists” so much and was such a “realist”, that he left the GOP, and eventually became a supporter of and fund raiser for democrat candidates.”

We don’t even know who the 2014 and 2016 candidates will be, but here you are, already striving to get everyone to not be ‘purists”, and to support the rino, whoever he will be.

Ironically using gay marriage as your starting point, when it was your rino pro-homosexual man who gave America gay marriage. Your man was pro-gay before gay was cool.

Mitt Romney “”For some voters it might be enough for me to simply match my opponent’s record in this area. But I believe we can and must do better. If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.

We have discussed a number of important issues such as the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which I have agreed to co-sponsor, and if possible broaden to include housing and credit, and the bill to create a federal panel to find ways to reduce gay and lesbian youth suicide, which I also support. One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.””

There are options other than Omugabe, Romney and staying home.

Thank you. Well said. Nominate a conservative, win an election. It’s not difficult.

The trouble is that the pro-gay, and never before pro-life, Liz Cheney, is running to take an already held GOP Senate seat when like Romney, she has choices of where she could run.

I have a feeling that the social liberals of the GOP want her to cut the legs out from this growing ‘Grizzly Mama’ female conservative face of the GOP, and give the GOPe a strong sounding, outspoken, seemingly conservative on the surface, female leader, to guide the growing female presence of the party back under their control, or at least to control the public image of what kind of female represents the party.

If Liz Cheney is the face of the GOP Women's Movement, count me out. I'll align with a party whose female model is someone like Sarah Palin over some tepid lickspittle like Lez Liz.

Cheney is just Gloria Steinem with baggier pants.

That requires one to actually be a conservative.
