In this country the law point for forests was over a hundred years ago. After the rise of enterprises devoted to growing trees for profit followed by tree farming incentives the amount of forest began to increase and has increased ever since. The setbacks have been at the hand of enviro-wackos such as Jimmy Carter's eco-wacko driven edict to stop clearing underbrush and elimnate safeguarding fire lanes.
Desertification proceeds in countries where there is no growing of trees for profit and thus there is no incentive to increase forests.
"In this country the law point for forests was over a hundred years ago."
What law was that?
And HOW did it affect forestry practices?
