Bill and Hillary Clinton are angry with efforts by mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner and his campaign to compare his Internet sexcapades — and his wife Huma Abedin’s incredible forgiveness — to the Clintons’ notorious White House saga, The Post has learned.
“The Clintons are upset with the comparisons that the Weiners seem to be encouraging — that Huma is ‘standing by her man’ the way Hillary did with Bill, which is not what she in fact did,’’ said a top state Democrat.
Weiner and his campaign aides have explicitly referred to the Clintons as they privately seek to convince skeptical Democrats that voters can back Weiner despite his online sexual antics — just as they supported then-President Bill Clinton in the face of repeated allegations of marital betrayals.
“The Clintons are pissed off that Weiner’s campaign is saying that Huma is just like Hillary,’’ said the source. “How dare they compare Huma with Hillary? Hillary was the first lady. Hillary was a senator. She was secretary of state.”
A longtime Hillary aide and Clinton friend, Abedin’s surprisingly unequivocal support of her husband after his bombshell admission Tuesday that he engaged in salacious online sexting well after he resigned in disgrace from Congress in 2011 left the Clintons stunned, continued the source.
“Hillary didn’t know Huma would do this whole stand-by-your-man routine, and that’s one of the reasons the Clintons are distancing themselves from all this nonsense,’’ the source said

Rep. Anthony Weiner explained himself and apologized for his conduct to Bill Clinton, who officiated his wedding to wife Huma Abedin, sources familiar with the call said.
Weiner made the call within the past 48 hours.
Better put a little ice on your ego’s, you two.

They’re setting Hillary up as the martyr again in order to lock in the sympathy vote for 2016.
Bill’s willing to take the flak to help his wife become the first woman president of the U.S., essentially putting HIM back in power.
Weiner is guilty of crude & despicable, apparently remote "non-contact", behavior.
Bill Clinton is guilty of multiple instances of wrongful sexual physical contact, among them adultery and probably rape.
Hillary is straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.
Both show appalling failures in judgement and self control. In today's moral climate, these types of failure might be tolerable in a dog catcher. On second thought, I would not want a dog catcher with this abysmal character coming in my yard looking for a stray animal....especially if my wife were home alone.
Neither man should be trusted with public office involving decision making or finances, let alone national security. In addition, when looking at their choice of spouse, one wonders, "were Matai Hari or Tokyo Rose not available so that these men had to choose other enemy spies and traitors?"
So, in effect, the Clinton's are right. They should be ostracized to the point of wanting to leave the country. Sigh!
Hillary was played for a fool her whole marriage. Huma for a much shorter time... is that what Hillary’s complaining about?
Besides, what difference does it make?
Bill and Hillary are two arrogant tools.
First, how far can Hillary distance herself from Huma given that Huma (and by extension, Weiner) has known Hillary so intimately for so many years that she (Huma) has more goods on her boss than Jo-Ann's has fabrics?
This reported rather mild "split" between Hillary and the Weiners has all the earmarks to me of being deliberately planted with mutual consent.....the object being getting Hillary's campaign off to a clean start without this kind of baggage tarnishing it.
Second, one of the most remarkable phenomenons in the political world is that many people still consider Hillary and Bill as one unit. Even though not living together physically, their followers automatically think of them as a united couple ideologically, ambition-wise or other-wise.
In fact, if they vote for Hillary in the next presidential election, it will be with the full expectations of the low-info voters that Bill will move right into the White House to help run the country.
The two are still thought of by many, if not most folks, as a "close pair"
It has required a great deal of self-control and the cooperation of the media for Hill and Bill to pull off this MINO (marriage-in-name-only). Their "single" lives all these years have not been tainted with scandal, rumors....nor even suggestive questions about their personal lives.
If they were a Republican couple, Bill would have been rumored to be dating or hopping into bed with a different woman every minute.....and Hillary and Huma would have been a "hot item" these past years.
It's remarkable how nothing touches the Clintons these days....and if it does, it's swiftly taken care of by her damage-control team and the lap-dog media.
The PR announcement of Hillary "distancing" from the Weiners yesterday is a case in point. I don't buy it for a moment....but the public in general will.
