Orangedog - The article says that the legislation applies to private school students, too.

Some of us are a little more careful of who we let do favors for us. Others will take any handout they can get from the government, especially if it means being able to pawn their kids off for playtime at some other persons expense.

But, can we agree on this: ALL education should be privatized. And competitive team sports schools should be privatized, too.

Good, now tell the homeschoolers to get out of my pocket instead of adding to the problem.

The vast majority of homeschoolers wouldn't take advantage of this opportunity. Many homeschool parents voice the same concerns that you do - they worry about involving their children in the public school system in any way.

HOWEVER, as long as there is a public school system and sports teams are connected to it, I myself would not fight against either private school students or homeschooled students being permitted to join public school sports teams. I would not put my own kids onto public school teams, though.
