There are a fair number of conservatives in Detroit but they learn to keep a low profile or their water gets shut off or a city inspector shows up with a list of violations.
A lot of it goes back to LBJs 9 square miles planned community plan which was followed by full on communist Coleman Young who had followers willing to literally threaten the lives of resistors.
It didn’t help that George Romney called Saul Alinsky in to help solve the problems of Detroit.
