More pressure for special session on SYG, this time from [scared] black Hillsborough politicos

Six black Hillsborough County elected officials are asking Gov. Rick Scott, Senate President Don Gaetz and House Speaker Will Weatherford for a special session to repeal or change the 2005 “stand your ground” law they blame for a looming economic crisis caused by a boycott of Florida.

“Since the outcome of the Zimmerman verdict in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Florida has become a lightning rod for criticism over our state’s ‘stand your ground’ law,” states the July 29 letter. “Now, in the weeks since the ‘not guilty’ verdict was rendered, the cries for boycotting Florida from some of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry and those organizing upcoming conventions and other major gatherings are growing because nothing has been done to fix the problems that remain in the law.”

1) If you respond to blackmail the way the blackmailers want, you'll never stop getting blackmailed.

2) Liberal boycotts almost always come to naught. Liberals are always boycotting us here in AZ and you can't tell the difference. Plus there's conservative that will make up part or all of any shortfall with "buycotts", but only if you don't cave to evil blackmailers. If you have no stones, no one is going to want to support you.

I don't want to spoil the party or anything but these maggots have been saying that they have been boycotting the hell out of Arizona since the Kenyan rose to powah. Haven't seen anything here yet.

LOL!
Most citizens want even more SYG rights, not less.

If you try to rape, rob or physically attack me in any way, please have the new and improved non-emergency DOJ hotline on your NSA recorded phone records to support your self-presumed cultural right to commit a violent crime. SARCASM ALERT

“problems that remain in the law” - totally disregarding that the SYG law was not part of Zimmerman’s defense, because it was not needed - standarf self-defense was sufficient, together with Zimmerman’s legal right to have a weapon for self-defense

the pols are ill-advised, and/or ignorant of the actual legalities of the case, and being used or using themselves, in service of better informed people with bad motives

The far left St Pete slimness is peddling the Obama black talking points.

I hope this left wing rag dies off soon.

It was so awful
It changed its name to hopefully fool people in the Bay Area.

I think I can do without Jay Z easier than I can do without my right to defend myself.

Horrid paper. The front story is usually just a liberal editoral couched to look like a headline.

“Children suffering due to lowered taxes”.

That’s not one of them, but it’s close. I do remember one that said something like, “Voters want more sex education”. There was also one like, “Too low property taxes unfair to new buyers” (A reference to the fact that taxes are higher if you pay more for your home!). They are so liberal I wonder they don’t just all quit the country and move to Cuba.
