President Obama in Tennessee on Tuesday will call for a lowering of the corporate tax rate in exchange for heightened government investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and education, a new effort to entice Republicans wary of virtually all of his prescriptions to improve the economy.

President Monty Hall...
The response should be how is THAT going to be paid for?
At least he has tacitly admitted that he is familiar with the theory.
Idiot. Unadulterated, unequivocal mental pygmy...
The moronic idea that gov can "create" "infrastructure" jobs has been proven to be a non-starter. It doesn't work.
Cut the taxes and let the companies create their own jobs.
I would hope no Republican is going to be enticed by the same manure this (*%&*$ has been pushing for the last five years. There isn’t a coherent thought I’ve ever heard escape his lips. Perhaps I haven’t been listening close enough.
Given what has happened in this country over the last 5 years, this is a little like a store raising prices by 25% and having a 5% off sale.
nancy pelosi’s head is going to explode.
OUR response ought to be “Oh, shiite, there’s no shortage of Crony Capitalist types who will gladly throw the future of the country under the bus to lobby for something that will be to their personal benefit for a few quarters”.
Look the GOP needs to be against government spending like this, but also we need to be against sending American jobs overseas, and we need to be for bringing back US jobs which were exported.
America needs industry.
For crying out loud. America needs work. America needs jobs.
America needs a GOP looking out for American work, and American jobs.
We need to stop sending US jobs overseas.
We need to bring back US jobs which were sent elsewhere.
We need balanced trade.
Now.
LOL- that is hilarious. Well, sort of. They have whipped the Low IQ progressives into a foaming at the mouth frenzy about corporations. He is going to give them a perk?
OH heck to the no.. they will scream. Corporations are supposed ti lie die and appreciate their rape. They are not supposed to get a perk!
If Obama is afraid for his life now- wait until he pisses off the progressives. Those people are vicious stalkers and very nasty when they are crossed.
Is his only hope is that they can continue to afford crack, until he gets out of office, and they won’t notice what he is doing.
In Feb. 2011, Obama, while campaigning, said that he would work to lower the corporate tax rate upon re-election.
He got elected and you haven’t heard a peep out of him, nor the Republicans.
Now he’s just using it as a faux bargaining chip.
The response should be how is THAT going to be paid for?
By raising taxes on the one-percenters of course, so that they pay their fare share.
Another oxymoron Obama plan.
How about we pull one from the Dem’s playbook: corporate tax cuts now, and we promise we’ll increase spending on jobs sometime in the future.
Reduce revenue, increase spending. Makes sense to me. /sarc
