United States Presses Israel to Release Murderers But Won’t Release Pollard

The Israeli cabinet took a courageous and politically unpopular step by approving the release of 104 Palestinian prisoners, including many terrorists who had murdered Israeli babies, women, the elderly and other civilians. According to Israeli intelligence some of these released murderers are likely to rejoin terrorist organizations and may kill again. Relatives and friends of the victims have protested the decision to release these killers. Yet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet withstood these pressures and ordered their release.

The United States government had pressured the Israeli government to release these prisoners because the Palestinian Authority had made their release a condition to resuming peace talks. The Israeli government, which had agreed to peace talks with no preconditions, submitted to the Palestinian precondition, and talks are now likely to go forward.

Two standards, one for Jews, another for others.

Typical.

What I’m going to say is important, so pay attention: there is no difference between someone who deceives us for another, or deceives another for us.

Pollard had dual nationality, I believe. He owed loyalty to both Israel and the USA, and as a Jew and an American, he shit on both nations.

Israel will continue to get pushed around just as long as she permits herself to be pushed around.

The prisoners should be inoculated with that nasty SARS-like stuff that’s swirling around in mecca. Then let them go. They can infect all their buddies.

We love to let Russian and other communist spies in our government and then let them go as soon as they get caught.
Alger Hiss (not even listed as a spy on Wiki); Harry Dexter White; Those ten Russians a few years back. Then allow spies to be in charge of our authorities charged with finding spies.

Robert Hanssen - I noticed he got life.

Anyhow, I believe politicians in bothe the USA and Israel(Peres) wanted Pollard put away for life so as not to expose corrupt dealings on both sides. From my limited perspective it seemed as though the info Pollard gave up was info the US as an ally and under agreements were already supposed to be sharing. Also, stuff would have come out involving Iran and arms trading that would have affected Iran Contra stuff that might have impugned many people and altered the official story and mustn’t have that. So down the rat hole forever. The guy has been in solitary confinement for decades of time. Definitely some fishy stuff going on if one can get past the typical patriotic - he was a spy string him up and let him rot kinda stuff.

I think there was collusion with both USA and Israel to get rid of him and think he should be released if the US thinks they can force ISrael to release 100’s of murdering psychopaths to terrorize the Israeli population.

Maybe he knew stuff about the USS Liberty and that stuff is never to come to light. That wasn’t just Israel - those orders came right from the top of the USA I believe although I know many here would deny that.

For those who have a jaundiced view of Pollard I wrote a piece on him a year ago for the Times of Israel. It’s still available. A lot of it is about Holder’s machinations getting Marc Rich his pardon and some of it out of date, but I would request if you are interested in knowing more about Pollard, take a few or several minutes to read it.

Pollard has served about double the max sentence guidlines.

Also, he had a plea agreement that the USA government totally
violated.

Also, as an Ally, Israel was supposed to get a good portion
of the material Pollard leaked, just because it was info
that the USA agreed Israel was supposed to receive as a heads up to potential plots against Israel that our intelligence
agencies agreed to share.

For its part over the years Israel has given us lots of info
on Soviet weapons systems weaknesses. Israel has purchased
over 30 billion dollars of US weapons, and made suggestions
on how to make them better. And Israel has just signed
agreement to let us manufacture Iron Dome in the USA.

Israels spy and army intel agencies have been sharing info
on terrorists and communists, for decades.

Good friends are hard to find. And letting one sick
spy who spied decades ago served more than his legal sentence, seems ripe for humane release to our best ally
in the war against Islamic Terrorists.

If he leaked it to the New York Times, he’d be collecting his pension in South Florida.

I think it would be completely foolish of Israel to release those 104 Palestinian prisoners, I hope they don't. I am sorry the U.S. government is trying to do it. Israel is a good ally and it's a shame. There's a reason all these parties are in prison. They should stay there.

Do we know for sure that Israel doesn't want to put Pollard on trial for betraying Israel? Would he get the death penalty there? If so, I understand why they want to get there hands on him, but it's best for things to remain as they are. Letting those 105 go free is not the right choice.
