Unless they got some sort of signed waver from the Martins about not suing the HOA or Insurance company, they can still go after both (at least up to the policy limit for the insurance company and the sky’s the limit for the HOA). However, I think the HOA and insurance company made a bad deal. They left the game too early.

It appears that you may confused about how these things work. There aren't two separate defendants in a legal action like this; there's only one (the HOA). The insurance company isn't a party to the suit. It simply acts as the HOA's "agent" in paying out the cost of the settlement (up to the policy limit) with the plaintiff. The lawsuit wasn't filed against the insurance company; it was filed against the HOA.

Once the Martins settled with the insurance company they cannot file a separate lawsuit against the same defendant (the HOA) over the same matter.

The Sharpton-Crump-Martin machine are likely expecting Zimmerman to get paid well for a book for even for movie rights.

But Z's potential earnings aren't what the Race Hustlers are really eyeing ... they just need to keep the racial pot boiling, the better to rake in $$$ to their so-called foundations and non-profits, like "The Trayvon Martin Foundation" and Sharpton's "National Action League."

And we're not just talking about t-shirt sales here -- we're talking about huge corporate donations. Race Hustlers are experts at shaking down corporations for "donations" to "the cause." E.g. Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/Push has extorted enormous amounts from Pepsico, Coca Cola, Wendy's, McDonald's, Mars, Intuit and on and on and on...
