Damn I get tears in my eyes to read that and realise that the leader of Russia can and wants to say that, while we can't get one leader out of the thousands who hold some elective office in the US to even look like they would think such a "thought crime".

I'm not naive and starry-eyed about Putin or Russia, but at least they have the fundamentals right. You can't go ahead with anything when your whole foundation is a lie or the truth can't be spoken, as is the case here, now, in the US. Sure, they can't talk about Putin without getting into trouble, but is that much different from the case here, where nothing critical of Obozo or the left will ever get through any mainstream media (including the ones on the so-called right) and your life can be destroyed if anyone finds out that you harbor thoughts which stray from the narrative on topics which need truth, before anything fruitful can be done? We base our whole social policy on lies
