When I was in college the big accounting firms would recruit with NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) rather than the much larger Accounting Society. It was the only time I heard white women bitch about affirmative action.
Needless to say, when the school calls for donations I tell them to ask the minority students for money; I tell them I paid for those students’ tuition already in addition to mine. Until the Church opposes affirmative action with the same fervor with which they pursue environmental nonsense, they get no money either. I’m passing that same mindset along to my children as well.
If I remember right, Theresa Heinz (Kerry) claimed African American on her college applications (yeah, she needed the financial aid), because she was born in Johansburg or something like that.
