The Senate easily confirmed President Barack Obamas selection for ambassador to the United Nations on Thursday, capping a month in which senators used a bipartisan truce on once-mired nominations to fill a cluster of vacancies in the presidents second-term administration.
Senators approved Samantha Power for the post by 87-10. The vote put the former Obama foreign policy adviser and outspoken human rights advocate into the job formerly held by Susan Rice, whom the president has made his national security adviser.
Power joined a stack of nominees that senators have approved since striking a bipartisan deal in mid-July. Republicans agreed to allow votes on seven of Obamas picks after Democrats agreed to drop plans to invoke the so-called nuclear option, forcing Senate rules changes that would have made it harder for the chambers minority parties to block some nominations.

Let me stab you in the neck or else I’ll shoot you?

So what’s the difference?
Remind me not to use the Repubs to negotiate a car purchase for me.
Powers has been a tireless defender of human rights, said Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Robert Menendez, D-N.J. She has seen the tragedy of human suffering from the front lines, first hand.Menendez the perv admits that he thinks that terrorists is what the phrase human rights means.
Then the Democrats will just lie and use the option anyway
for the next thing they want.
Someday, I can only hope that this entire bunch of Traiterous bastards are all suffering FIRST HAND.....
May they all rot in Hell
I wrote both my senators. They both claim to be pro Israel, but when the rubber meets the road, they might as well be sons of Satan.
I have been unable to find the roll call. With a vote of 87-10, assuming all 54 Dems and “Independents” voted for this wretched woman, that would mean at least 33 of the 46 Republicans must also have been in the yes column. I want names.
Horns are on the wrong part of the head. Also, with RINOs, they are horns and not tusks.

Where was McCain on this vote? Looks like he was out of town. Perfect opportunity for him to step in front of the cameras as the great compromiser.
