Almost all of those serving with the 1st Battalion The Gloucestershire Regiment were killed or taken prisoner in April 1951 during the Battle of the River Imjin fought against Chinese troops. And inevitably North East regiments were in the thick of it too. Sad thing about that, like Benghazi, they thought help would arrive. Copies of the Brigade CQ logs are available in many history books.
