I agree! Myself I totally oppose property taxes as they render ownership of property meaningless and I also oppose income taxes in that they are a prior claim on one’s earnings. Meaning that the government gets to take their share of your money before you get to have your share.
Just like how sharecroppers had to give the first part of their harvest to ‘Massa’.

I MAY back them if they were used for ONLY those things ‘universal’...police, fire, etc.
I have a problem with paying property taxes, say, for schools when I don’t have ANY children; let alone the quality being SH!T.
Do away w/ property taxes. Make the property owner pay for those services they USE. All else are paid by the individual.
