Liberal groups to counter anti-Obama healthcare efforts in August (freeloaders unite)

With tea party Republicans threatening to shut down the government in an effort to roll back President Obama's healthcare law, several progressive groups are teaming up in a new effort to convince skeptical voters of the benefits of the new law.

During the August recess, Americans United for Change and Protect Your Care plan to counter efforts by Republicans to disparage the law. The groups will stage protests at GOP events, organize their own town halls to publicize its perks, and provide “air cover” to the law’s defenders.

Republicans “have overplayed their hand and that gives us the opportunity to go on offense,” said Brad Woodhouse, president of Americans United for Change. The two groups, he said, will emphasize benefits of the 2010 law, including the prohibition on insurance companies' turning away Americans with pre-existing conditions.

If, I mean when, they start violently disrupting town hall meetings - which will all be with republican reps and senators I’m sure - it’s time to start resisting forcefully - as in physically. If we don’t, the socialists will get more brazen and start using arson and firearms.

If it’s so wonderful, why is Congress exempted?

If it's so wonderful why do they have to make it a mandate and sell us on the idea?

Tyranny has no boundaries.

I guess if these townhall meetings take place in the daytime, most actual underwriters of the government largess will be working. Either have the meetings at 8AM before the bums wake up or after 8PM when they are out mugging people.

I think Republicans in congress shound introduce a bill that exempts no one. Pass it with great fanfare and hand it off to Harry Reid.

Then have a press conference every day asking why Harry won’t bring it up for a vote.

And if Harry passes it, have a press conference every day as to when Obama is going to sign it.

And the best part, the Rats still own Obamacare.

I’m skeptical of union activist goons protesting on behalf of this law while seeking exemption themselves.

Stalinists lie. ALWAYS.

I believe this group should first go to Unions, The IRS, and Congress and convince them that Obamacare is wonderful.

After that they could try going to other places that have asked for exemption.

Obamacare is a tragedy,

There is a minimum age to serve in elected office. I proposed a maximum age for legislators as well. I propose a mandatory retirement at 75 for members of the House and Senate.

You have no business setting laws you'll never live long enough to have to endure yourself, let alone the world you make. Zero accountability for the repercussions.

IMO, Congress is exempting themselves because they are the “ruling class” and we have been legislated, by design, be their slaves and to face Death Panels.

By being exempted from Obamacare, those in office will not have prying eyes looking at their medical records (drug use, STDs, heart condition, cancer, etc.). However any challenger will be exposed.

Remember Occupy Wall Street? That was the White House answer to Tea Parties. The Occupy sit-ins attracted the worst elements and descended into drunkenness, open drug use, rape, assault, robbery, and city parks strewn with trash and feces. Four Occupy Cleveland protesters are serving 10-year prison terms for attempting to destroy an Ohio bridge. When city governments had had enough it required riot police with tear gas and fire hoses to evict the human vermin.

Let Obama’s rabble do what they will. It will blow back on him and the Democrats.
