Our greatest danger has been and will continue to be McCain's and Graham's insistence on arming Islamic terrorists in Syria and Libya.

I haven’t seen where Syria was attacking another country. Therefore, I don’t see the need to help terrorists overthrow a government.

I certainly don’t see making the Russians as the bad guys here. They have to deal with Islamic extremists just like we do.

The word "bad" implies the other side is "good," and I think we're not that naive anymore. What I mean is that every power in the middle east is looking at the events of the Arab Spring, plus the draw down of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and realizing that the maps are now open to being redrawn, especially as to who are the major powers with influence. This is also projected onto the Sunni-Shia conflict. Russia is a traditional allay of Syria, along with Iran. They want to keep it in their sphere. The U.S., Saudi Arabia and Egypt want Syria to be Sunni controlled and in the Saudi camp.

If the US is supplying arms to Syrian rebels, then Russia and Iran have a motive to attack Benghazi.

Lindsey pack your...bags and your boyfriend and head home.

He'll have to fight Chris Christie first. And having said that I need to go scratch my eyeballs with a fork.

Since we’re not 100% clear, we might should try to stay out of it.

One thing I do know is that 1000s and 1000s of Christians left Iraq after we left a void there. They had been protected better under the previous regime. Where did most of these Christians flee to? Syria. Christians were protected there just like muslims or anyone else. This tells me they may not be as “bad” as some in our government wants me to believe.

Personally, I don’t believe one American life is worth advancing the cause of the muslim brotherhood.

I agree. Our primary goal should be mideast energy independance. Then all our mideast ties to muslim countries become optional.

I have voted against him in every primary, but could not bring myself to vote for a democrat. The rules of the game are: You need a viable candidate and you need money to back him. I have stopped giving money to the RNC as I suspect so have many of my conservative friends because we feel we are fighting ourselves. The tea party may be our only hope but it seems they are fading. I have almost lost hope, but I will vote and try to influence as many friends as possible.

“I have voted against him in every primary, but could not bring myself to vote for a democrat.”

Understandable. Why extremely leftist for a Republican, Graham is still not as extreme as a Democrat.

“The rules of the game are: You need a viable candidate and you need money to back him. I have stopped giving money to the RNC as I suspect so have many of my conservative friends because we feel we are fighting ourselves.”

I have resigned from the GOP. I am a full fledged independent. I am sure the GOP sees the numbers and knows this is happening. I am also so sure that they don’t give a damn. They are too busy fighting a losing battle trying to win the Hispanic population.

“The tea party may be our only hope but it seems they are fading.”

The tea party is not what it started out being.

“I have almost lost hope, but I will vote and try to influence as many friends as possible.”

I vote, but I no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. I will not vote for candidates that I do not like. I will write in candidates if there is not a good choice. I can hear the rinos wailing and gnashing their teeth over this.
