I recall hearing the same sort of nonsense many years ago, when some education professors declared that due to the pervasiveness of calculators, children no longer needed to learn basic math.

What these morons miss is that these disciplines give a young student tools to use in more advanced studies as an older student or even in life.

Is it any wonder that schools of education usually have the lowest admission standards?

All kids need to learn for 12 years is to obey master government, fill out welfare forms, where the nearest abortion clinics are (already a big lesson in NYC schools) and crap like that

Every now and then, I get out the old bamboo slide rule and give it a spin just to see if I still remember how it works.
