Baloney! Fast & Furious wasn't so-called "botched" at all: the whole point was to facilitate the transfer of firearms from U.S. gun shops to Mexican narcotics cartels, which was to accomplish two goals:
1.) Discredit gun shops and the Second Amendment generally.
2.) Deliver firearms to favored criminal organizations.
Inexplicably—unless not inexplicably at all—no one's ever followed the money the BATFE, DEA, State Department, et alia received for the firearms.
