When I heard this on the radio it seemed that NSA was sharing information with the DEA. This article says it is a joint operation of several agencies and infers that the DATA mining is separate/in addition to NSA.
I wonder how much of this comes from Snowden leaks. Imagine that Russia has much more info and will leak information as it becomes convenient for its interest? We need to know if our leaders are now compromised by a foreign government.

t..the uncovering of Parallel Constructions strategy of consciously lying to defense attorneys, prosecutors and judges is sure to result in a get-out-of-jail-free-card for some of Americas worst drug lords and criminals. Hey, we're passing out those cards to the big banks that launder the drug money, so why not?

The Feds will do what they always do; intimidate juries and destroy evidence. If it’s a serious crime to withold evidence, why wouldn’t judges and prosectors do everything possible, including commiting more crimes, to coceal their deeds? The Feds are all about power; justice is an antiquated concept.
