IIRC, you’ll get a big shock when you have to replace all those batteries. Some people who have hybrids have already found that out to their chagrin. When the price comes WAY down and the range goes WAY up I’ll research them again. BTW, speaking of “alternative energy” vehicles, have you seen the Honda Civic Natural Gas?

' have you seen the Honda Civic Natural Gas?'
ME? I'm partial to the integrity of all my limbs ...if i get into a crash somehow i think im better off surrounded by my big comfortable Towne Car. I don't want to end up in traction at the hospital...thinkin ...'boy howdy did i save a boatload of gas money only to end up here after gettin into the argument with that big Ford..now, sadly all that gas money i saved is gonna go to cover the co pay at some PT shop.' Plus down the road i got something else to look forward to. ARTHRITIES which has a nasty, nasty habit of moving into any trauma site and showing up there as a nazty nazty surprise in the future....all in all it's best to stick with the big safe AMERICAN automotive style of travel. There ya have it.... some nice conservative common sense young grasshoppahs. Heed n learn. (IT'S worse than you thought check out these brand new small car safety test results, UGH.)

youll get a big shock when you have to replace all those batteries Per the Tesla Motors website:
We have received many requests for a Battery Replacement Option. We are happy to now offer this option for all three battery variants. This option will provide you a new battery anytime after the end of the eighth year at a fixed price. Prices are as follows: $8,000 for the 40 kWh battery, $10,000 for the 60 kWh battery, and $12,000 for the 85 kWh battery.
&$^#%!! That's going to hurt!
