Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram on Thursday to his old sparring partner, former U.S. President George W. Bush, wishing him a quick recovery from heart surgery.
It may have been coincidence that the Kremlin released details of the telegram a day after Barack Obama pulled out of a planned summit with Putin, but little is left to chance in Russian politics.
The warm words to the man who once said he looked Putin in the eye and got a "sense of his soul" highlighted how different the relationship is between the leaders in the Kremlin and the White House now.

Unlike our current pres, Putin operates to strengthen his country in world affairs. I suspect Putin had/has a level or respect for Bush that he’ll never have for the Bamster. He knows he can steamroll the liberals running America right now, so he’s fine with them in power, but although he likes weakness of this administration, there is no respect.
It’s been made abundantly clear over the years that Putin and Bush had a healthy respect for each other... and Putin absolutely disdains Obama.
Probably the same message a lot of us have for Obama, Go f&*! yourself.

Its simple - Putin doesn't respect Obama because our president is a neophyte putz marxist.

Putin recognizes weakeness and “punkship”(the KGB is/was specialists in this). Obama in a First Class PUNK, Bush for all of his shortcomings is NOT(a PUNK)!
He is certainly a national joke...and that is what has to repulse Putin.
Powerful leaders... even bad ones... recognize and respect power in others, when they see it. Putin can regard "O" as a worthy opponent.

yeah, Bush had a gigantic, heaping blind spot when it came to Putin, and Obama is just a wuss.
