I’m not sure that we learned anything new from Snowden except confirmation that the US Government is collecting data, emails and recording telephone calls on US citizens.

The US Government is collecting data, emails, etc., without probable cause or a warrant. The the NSA is passing that information to other government agencies. I was not aware of the extent until Snowden squealed.
