They don’t need to. All they must show is that they participated in the beating. Similar to a drag race where one car hits a pedestrian, both drivers can be held responsible. Summers v. Tice
Not necessary if they charge them with felony murder (if the victim does die). If a group of people are committing a felony, and someone dies as a result, they can all be charged with felony murder.
They don't even have to have directly caused the death. For example, say a group of thugs try to rob someone. That person tries to run away by crossing the street and is killed by a car. Even though the car actually caused the death, the robbers could be charged with Felony Murder.

The Zimmerman prosecution was designed to make Whitey second guess himself in defending his own life or the safety of others.
I have to say if I saw a group of yutes, black or white or Hispanic, I would turn around and go the other way. Even if I was armed. Chances are they were armed.
The pols and media are on the other side, FRiend, with almost no exceptions.
Discretion is often the better part of valor. No need to look for trouble. Just be ready if it finds you anyway.
