This was not the headline that the Center for Disease Controls National Center for Health Statistics gave its recent release of provisional fertility data for 2012. However, if you compare the most recent CDC data with Rosstat data on Russian births you see that, for the first time in a very long time, in 2012 Russias birth rate actually exceeded that of the United States. This is, to put it mildly, a significant reversal from the not too distant past when the US had a birth rate that was as much as 75% higher than Russias. As you can see, the speed and scale of the convergence is impressive

And what percentage of “ Russian” births is Muslim minorities?
America has gone gay, so naturally our birth rate is going to decline.
Americans must stop our leadership from this destruction.
It’ll be interesting to see the Russian birth numbers in coming years now that the Russian government has banned homoerotic propaganda directed at children.
The number of “Muslim minorities” is really low.
Any estimates of 10 to 20% Muslim population in Russia are based on false assumption that a historically muslim Tatars and Bashkirs (who are remnants of Mongol invasion) are really muslim which is absolutely wrong.
In reality a majority of these people are secular Christians or atheists for a few centuries and counting and their birth rate in similar with the rest of population.
North Caucasus (Chechnya, Dagestan) is another thing but there are really few people to contribute enough into nationwide numbers.
Current baby boom in Russia is probably a consequence of late Soviet baby boom started about 1985 and finished in 1991 during Gorby’s presidency.
It mentions in the article that this is probably an echo boom.
Then compares Russia’s shrinking population to the US’s shrinking white population.
“America has gone gay, so naturally our birth rate is going to decline.”
Our courts have seen to it that marriage and breeding would become a thing of the past.
Children are God’s vote of confidence for a nation. We have murdered almost 60,000,000 American babies, so why would He trust us with more? Of course, that means millions of missing taxpayers for the next generations, but at least the most selfish generation had their sexual revolution.
Russia is not importing vast numbers of non-Russians to make up the difference.
Putin has been promoting the need for more babies in Russia and held several rallies, or events where he encouraged young Russians to have children. And he’s gotten some results.
Actually America has gone EEO, feminist
Young white women fear living. They fear everything, especially childbirth. They have been provided the means and the propaganda to reject being part of society.
Russia has had a much higher abortion rate than the US (during Soviet times it was a whopping 6 abortions per woman!). And you have to wonder how much of the increase is from non-Russians such as Chechens, Tartars and other Asiatic peoples. This may be just a blip. As for the United States, 305 million is plenty, don’t you think?
Which is one reason that amnesty is so important right now. All the politicians know that the social security system will be dissolved when the baby boomers retire. They want the illegals to become legal so they can prop the system up for another 30 years.
IMO, won’t work, but that is what they are doing.
Looking at Russia you see a very significant drop associated with the collapse of USSR. Then later Russia moves into being a petro-state with significant exports so the rise in birth rate is following the rise in oil price.
The US drop in birth rate is following the economic collapse which began in 2007 and as the economy has slowly recovered the falling birth rate has begun to level off.
And if you look at longer term, not shown on this chart, you see a falling US birth rate that began at the end of the boomer generation, which was a period of higher birth rates.
The reality is that neither Russia nor the US has an adequate birth rate to maintain a positive population growth rate. The US maintains a positive population growth rate with immigration. Russia doesn't.
