Stupid enough to move into an all black neighborhood and thinking things were just peachy.
This is a sad, sad case of “stupid white liberal meets reality.”
Too bad it probably cost him everything to learn that lesson.
I looked at a demographic map and that area is not majority black, maybe about 25-30% at most. It is actually very evenly divided between white, black, and Asian. The majority black areas are to the west of downtown. Still, there are enough to cause a problem. After all, in Portland and Seattle, whites are over 60% of the population and blacks are less than 10%. Yet black-on-white attacks are quite frequent in both places.
